Here's How We Do It
Conditioning
Our conditioning protocols are challenging and you never know what to expect—but we are still focused on keeping you healthy and progressing for the long haul.
Thoughtful Programming
We make training fun while still prioritizing safety and long-term progression with the right balance of race-specific training and more general fitness.
Accessory work
We get creative with the programming and include movements to build resilience and longevity — not just the same things over and over again.
What People Are Saying
Want to train for HYROX without doing it alone?
Our HYROX program gives you structured training, coaching, and a crew that keeps you consistent.
Todd Nief, Founder – South Loop Strength & Conditioning
HYROX is simple on paper: run, work, repeat.
But most people train for it the wrong way — too much random cardio, just doing the race movements over and over, or doing a bunch of conditioning, but always going too hard or too easy.
The goal isn’t just to survive the event.
It’s to build the kind of fitness that holds up when you’re tired: strong legs, lungs that don’t quit, and the ability to keep moving when everything hurts.
Our HYROX program is designed around that.
We combine structured strength work, conditioning intervals, and event-specific training so you build real capacity over time — without burning out.
We coach technique, pacing, and progression so you can train hard, stay healthy, and steadily improve.
Whether you’re signing up for your first HYROX or trying to cut your time down or just find the training fun, we’re here to help.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our HYROX Program
Do I need to be in shape before starting?
No. You don’t need to be “fit enough” to start — you get fit by training. Workouts are coached and can be adjusted based on your current ability.Do I need to be training for an actual HYROX race?
No. Many members join our HYROX classes because they like the structure and challenge along with the focus on longer conditioning pieces. But, if you do want to race, we’ll help you prep properly. How are classes structured?
Classes are one hour and typically include a warm-up and a conditioning workout. Coaches explain the goal of the session and help you pace it correctly. Some days focus on intervals while other days are one longer race-style workout. Will I still get coaching during a class?
Yes. We actively coach during training: form, pacing, strategy, transitions, and movement efficiency. Is there running every day in HYROX classes?
Not always, but running is a regular part of the program. We also build endurance through rowing, skiing, biking, sled work, and mixed conditioning. If you don’t want to run, there will always be an alternative option available. How often should I train?
Most members train 3–5 days per week. That’s the sweet spot for improving quickly without running yourself into the ground.DON'T WAIT FOR THE PERFECT TIME
There’s no such thing as a perfect time, and you’ll learn more and get more out of coming in to chat with one of our coaches than you will in hundreds of hours of continued research.
Besides, your first consult is on the house.
We’re happy to invest in spending some time with you so that you can find out if we are who we say we are (since we know lots of people have been burned by disingenuous marketing in the fitness industry in the past).
Come see what it’s all about.
