Where were you born?
Brooklyn, New York
Where did you grow up?
Split between Brooklyn and Boston
What schools did you attend?
School of the Art Institute of Chicago, working towards BFA with a focus in Industrial and Furniture Design
When did you start CrossFit?
What made you start CrossFit?
While recovering from a wrestling injury in school I was looking for different training methods to make my rehab more fun and stumbled across CrossFit, started doing workouts on my roof, and never looked back.
When did you come to SLSC?
What do you enjoy about SLSC?
I love the overall focus that the community has on getting better physically and mentally coupled with the ability to still have fun while doing it.
What do you enjoy about coaching?
I love helping people, and to help someone push themselves to find their threshold and find where that physical and mental adaptation kicks in is a really special thing. It also helps me by pushing myself, along with my athletes, to constantly learn, adapt and improve in and outside the gym.
What would you say to someone who is considering trying out SLSC but is unsure?
Just give it a shot. There will never be certainty in whether or not a gym or a community is the right fit for you unless you give it a chance. Try to put the nerves of joining a new group or trying something new aside and focus on keeping it simple. Meet some nice, new people, get some exercise in, and possibly find that being part of a CrossFit community is as enriching for you as it is for so many all over the world.
